Year 7, 8 and 9 Curriculum
Years 7 and 8 comprises of 6 x 50 minute lessons per day and Year 9 comprises of 3 x 100 minute lessons per day. In addition to Maths, English and Science, students are taught History, Geography, RE, Modern Languages, Computer science, Art, Drama, Music, Design & Technology, PE, Citizenship and SMSC (social, moral, spiritual and cultural education). Students in Year 7, 8 and 9 study either Spanish or French dependent on their prior learning at the primary stage.
In all years there are a wealth of enrichment courses and clubs offered each day before and after school. Year 7, 8 and 9 students are expected to attend at least one club per week whilst Year 10 and 11 students attend study clubs as directed by their teachers and/or determined by their particular work demands throughout the year. In addition we have Saturday school each week and holiday school at half terms & Easter.
