BMAT has launched a Public Consultation regarding our plans to expand the Designated Resource Provision for students with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) to include post-16 students from September 2020. The proposal is that we will permanently expand the Designated Resource Provision to include a post-16 provision for 5 students annually. The consultation will run for four weeks from 5th November 2019 – 3rd December 2019.
The background to the expansion is that there is a critical need in the London Borough of Newham, and beyond, for post-16 places for young people with PMLD. We are well-placed to meet this need, and this expansion will allow us to retain our existing students, rather than them leaving the school at 16.
We very much hope that you will support the decision to expand this provision.
Responses to this proposal can be made via the online questionnaire or by completing a form available from the School Reception.
