Art and Design – Fine Art

Qualification: GCSE

Exam board: AQA

Pupils will develop knowledge, understanding and skills through integrated practical, critical and contextual study that encourages direct engagement with original works and practice. They will learn and use fine art techniques and processes whilst using a variety of materials.

Assessment: There are two assessment components. They contribute different amounts to the overall grade.

Component one (60%): Portfolio
Component two (40%): Practical examination, 10 hours (over a two week period)
