GCSE Results 2025
Posted: 21st August 2025Young people at Royal Docks Academy opened their results to find that they have triumphed over adversity to achieve excellent grades. Year 11 students returned to school today to collect their papers after taking their GCSE exams earlier this summer.
70% of students received a standard pass in English, with 54% achieving a good pass in the subject. In addition to this, 63% of students received a standard pass in Mathematics compared to 49% who achieved a good pass.
Among the highest achieving students in Year 11 are:
- Ivaylo Dimov: Five Grade 9's, Three Grade 8's and One Grade 7
- Naeema Khatun: Five Grade 9's, Four Grade 8's
- Adnan Rahman: Four Grade 9's, Four Grade 8's and One Grade 5
- Amalia Askey-Mboto: Two Grade 9's, Two Grade 8's and Five Grade 7's
- Miad Hassan: One Grade 9, Three Grade 8's and Five Grade 7's
- Ahat Ilyas Veli: Three Grade 9's, Three Grade 8's and Three Grade 7's
- Magdalena Gardevska: Two Grade 9's, Three Grade 8's and Four Grade 7's
- Jakub Byzdra: Two Grade 9's, Two Grade 8's and Five Grade 7's
John Blaney, Headteacher, said: "As the outgoing headteacher, I am proud of what our pupils have achieved in their GCSEs this year. As the year group whose education was most disrupted by the pandemic, they have shown real resilience and determination.
"These results reflect their hard work and the support of staff and families, and they provide a strong foundation for the next stage of their education and training. I wish them well as they move on from us and look forward to hearing about all of their successes in the future."
