Mental Health support in Newham
Child and Family Consultation Service/CAMHS
The Child and Family Consultation Service (also known as CAMHS) offers assessment and support to children, young people and their families with significant emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties.
This could include difficulties such as anxiety, depression and self-harm. The service also has specialist clinics that provide support for eating disorders and psychosis, and offer assessments for ADHD (all ages) and ASD assessments for over 13’. The service also provides crisis care outside of normal working 9-5 hours.
CFCS also have developed a variety of new types of support for children, young people and their families in Newham. This includes groups and workshops and also now offer services on a Saturday. Please get in touch to find out more.

Ambition Aspire Achieve – Aspire to Learn
A safe, fun environment where children and young people can make new friendships and take part in new activities and experiences. Activities include games, arts & crafts, sports and fitness, cooking, mindfulness, creative tech workshops, day trips, music, group challenges and much more!
This provision suitable only for children and young people who can work in a small group. There will be one staff member to four children / young people.

Resources for Autism – RFA HAF Play Scheme
Fun activities to suit the needs and interest of each child including drama, talent shows, creative play, art and sensory activities, cooking, sports, music, games and outings.
This provision is suitable for children / young people who require one to one support.

SportWorks
A wide range of sporting activities and games to promote health and wellbeing. All activities are provided on site.
Some of the sports on offer are football, basketball, cricket, rounders, tennis and dodgeball.
Children and young people will also play a range of school yard activities such as ‘British Bulldog’, ‘Mr Wolf’, ‘Floor is Lava’, ‘Stuck in the Mud’, ‘Freeze Tag’, ‘Simon Says’ and many more!
This provision suitable only for children and young people who can work in a small group. There will be one staff member to four children / young people. A member of staff will also be available each day to handle personal care.
